Profile
Dr Troy Puar is an Endocrinologist at Changi General Hospital (CGH), Singapore. He completed his medical degree and specialist training in Singapore, before completing a year-long fellowship at Radboud University Medical Centre, Nijmegen, the Netherlands focusing on adrenal endocrinology.
Dr Puar has initiated both an Adrenal Subspecialty, and Resistant Hypertension Service in CGH. He has a keen interest in patients with adrenal hypertension and works together with various specialists in CGH to deliver world-class care for patients with adrenal hypertension.
He is a recipient of several National Medical Research Council (NMRC) awards and is a nationally funded clinician scientist with several studies on patients with primary aldosteronism. He is currently leading a nationwide clinical trial, aiming to improve identification of patients with curable forms of hypertension using PET-CT functional imaging.
Dr Puar is also the lead Principal Investigator for the Shimadzu–Changi Clinomics Centre (SC3) which utilises state-of-the-art liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry to measure hormones for personalised treatment of hypertension.
