Prof Satoshi Yasuda
Dr. Satoshi Yasuda, MD, PhD, is a distinguished Japanese cardiologist specializing in ischemic heart disease and cardiovascular imaging. He currently serves as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine in Sendai, Japan.
Prior to this role, Dr. Yasuda held key positions at the National Cardiovascular Center (now National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center) in Japan, contributing significantly to clinical research and patient care. His research interests include innovative medical devices and big-data analysis for cardiovascular diseases. Notably, he was the lead author of the AFIRE trial, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2019, which investigated antithrombotic therapy for atrial fibrillation with stable coronary disease.
